Mr Bhairav Pandey, a 19 year old adult from Betalghat village of Nanital district in Uttarakhand completed his schooling in Sciences.Despite having an interest in medical field, his family’s financial status prevented him to go for higher studies.
On a fine day, Mr Bhairav’s father Mr KhyaliDatt Pandey, who was working in a Construction company in Delhi, happened to visit a Trade fair. In the trade fair, he noticed a health screening camp organized by Swasthgramwhere people are getting diagnosed for different tests.
He too got his health screening done and during the discussion with one of the Lab Techniciansin the camp, Mr Khyali learnt about SwasthGram’s livelihood program that provides training in Medical Lab Technology (MLT) charging nominal fees with assured placement.
Without second thought, Mr Khyalienrolled his son under one-year CMLT course in ASPLI Institute under Swasthgram Livelihood program.As a part of the course, Mr Bhairav got opportunity to explore real timemedical check-up under Swasthgram’s health screening camps organised in rural and urban areas.
Interestingly, Mr Bhairav also got enrolled to Saksham Program(student stipend program), where he was able to get stipend to manage his expenses.
Mr Bhairavhas completed his CMLT course and now employed in ‘Lab-O-Heal’ – a Pathology Laboratory based in Delhi. He is
earning his livelihood with dignity. He is grateful to Swasthgram’sLivelihood program for giving his the confidence to build his career to what he is today.
